Established by Tim Casdorff (Bachelor of Architecture, Diploma of Building Design & Drafting, Registered Sustainability Assessor, Carpenter & Joiner) as a Building company in 1993, Port Phillip Building Services began integrating Architectural Design in the late 1990s.
Now registered Architects, we have evolved into a well-founded Architecture, Project Management and Architectural Drafting Company.
Owing to our extensive background in building and construction, and our expansion in design, we take pride in the knowledge that our unique work will result in functional, appealing balanced design with unyielding structure.

Director
Tim Casdorff
South Melbourne-born adrenalin junkie, Tim Casdorff is a Registered Architect and the director of PPBS Architects who has over 25 years of industry experience in Australia. He has worked in a range of award-winning practices creating outstanding working, living, and learning environments, and gaining project architect experience on significant projects.
A passion for people, travel, adventure, and respect for the environment defines Tim’s practice of architecture. Tim established Port Phillip Building Services as a building company in 1993 with the skill set, he had acquired as an apprentice carpenter.
With an avid love of flying, Tim became a pilot and flew in the Kimberley. Following an aviation incident, he introduced himself to the world of design and drafting which lead him to study Architecture at Deakin University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2005. He began to integrate as an Architectural Design Studio, before establishing PPBS Architects in 2008. Tim’s studio has operated in South Melbourne/Port Melbourne and has projects across Victoria.
When away from work, you will find Tim enjoying a game of Cricket or Footy supporting the Sydney Swans with a glass of wine.
